A story about princess Cristina Trivulzio di Belgioioso; the Milanese noblewoman who became a close friend with poets and musicians during the Risorgimento, loved and hated for her political ideas and her free lifestyle. In love with her secretary, with whom she had a morbid relationship, she never wanted to be separated from his body, even after his death.
